Directions from Johannesburg (about 500 km: 6 hours by car and 7 hours by bus) Follow the N3 past Heidelburg and turn off soon afterwards onto the R23 towards Standerton. Continue through Volksrust (joining the N11) passing by Newcastle. About 30 km south of Newcastle turnoff left towards Dundee. Travel through Dundee, now on the R68, towards Vryheid. About 6 km out of Dundee, take a right turn towards Nqutu (the signs at this junction only mention Melmoth and Ulundi but is clearly marked R68) and proceed for 45 km until you reach Nqutu. At the stop street in Nqutu turn right towards Melmoth. Continue for about 50 km until you see our turnoff to the left marked D139 with big brown info signs "Babanango Valley". Directions from Durban (about 280 km: 3 hours by car and 4 hours by bus) Follow the N2 north past Ballito and Stanger until you reach the Dokodweni off-ramp (about 100 km north of Durban) marked Ginginhlovu, Eshowe and Ulundi. Take the off-ramp onto the R66 and proceed past Eshowe and through Melmoth. Immediately on the outskirts of Melmoth take a left-hand turn onto the R68 marked Babanango. At the stop street in Babanango turn left towards Dundee and proceed for 4 kms until you see our turnoff to the right marked D139 with big brown info signs "Babanango Valley". Follow the details on the inset map to get to the accommodation you require.
Directions from Nelspruit (about 450 km: about 6 hours by car and 7 hours by bus) Follow the R40 south towards Barberton and turn off right just before onto the R38 towards Badplaas. At Badplaas turn left (south) onto the R541 towards Lochiel. At Lochiel turn right onto the N17 towards Ermelo. After about 31km at Warburton turn left onto the R33 following this route through Amsterdam, Piet Retief, Paulpietersburg and Vryheid. At Vryheid continue along the R34 towards Melmoth. After 90 km there is a turnoff marked Babanango on your right, DO NOT TAKE THIS TURNOFF and proceed until you see the second turnoff on your right marked Babanango. About 100 km from Vryheid.Turn right onto a gravel road marked Babanango ( Denny Dalton road ) and proceed for 25 km along a gravel road. You reach a T-junction at the end of the dirt road ( T-junction is on the R68). Turn right and proceed 4 kms to the town of Babanango .At the stop street in Babanango turn left towards Dundee and proceed for 4 kms until you see our turnoff to the right marked D139 with big brown info signs "Babanango Valley" .
